One end of the suction branch of the photocatalytic partial exhaust system is the upper suction port, and the other end is connected with the main pipe at the confluence tee. The common point between the branch pipe air flow and the main pipe air flow at the confluence tee is called the confluence point of two airflows. The two airflows converge at the confluence point. The general dynamic pressure is unequal, but their static pressure is equal. The static pressure at the junction point is called residual static pressure, which is the actual static pressure at the junction point. The static pressure difference between the suction port and the convergence point is the power of the branch suction. As long as the static pressure at the junction point of the suction port and the confluence tee is constant, the suction capacity of the branch pipe with given shape and size will be constant. After the state of the branch suction and the shape and size of the branch are determined, the static pressure of the branch at the three junctions of the confluence can be obtained according to the air volume or wind speed, which is called the calculated static pressure of the branch.
The shape, size and suction state of each branch of UV photocatalytic equipment are the same. If the given suction volume is equal, the calculated static pressure of each branch is equal. If the residual static pressure of the main pipe reaches the junction point equally, then the air suction capacity of each branch pipe is equal, which is the so-called static pressure constant principle. If the residual static pressure at the junction point is not only equal, but also equal to the calculated static pressure of each branch, then the air suction capacity of each branch is not only equal, but also can suck according to the given air volume. This is the principle of uniform air suction.
Generally speaking, as long as the calculated static pressure of each branch and the residual static pressure of the main pipe reaching the confluence point is equal to the calculated static pressure of the branch, the branch can suck air according to the given air volume, which is the principle of quantitative suction. It has more universal significance for the design of suction duct.
